Kellie Martin is an American film and television actress popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series 'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Other notable roles include the lead role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin was able to begin her career in acting at the young age of seven, when her aunt who served as a nanny for Michael Landon's children, assisted her in landing an appearance in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. After after her Yale University graduation, she focused on acting and was able to secure significant roles on both cinema and television. Apart from being an actor, Martin is a skilled photographer, as well as a dancer. Mother of two daughters and a son, she is also the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness of the illness each day following the passing of her sister when she was age 19.
